We’re pissed off. Pissed off with seeing media out and about that looks run-down, dirt ridden, torn or tagged. Who is looking after the advertisers needs here? It certainly doesn’t seem to be some media providers!

Would you book a radio ad that then comes out a mumbled hard to hear mess?
Would you book a TVC that gradually has the brightness turned down for a semi legible message?

No, of course you wouldn’t. And what’s more you would be straight on the phone and making sure someone sorted it out quick-sharp. So why isn’t Out-of-Home approached in the same way? Well, funnily enough, we do.

With taxi media you are guaranteed to get media that is personally cared for by the driver. In most cases they own the car themselves and are mandated by the companies to always have that vehicle in clean and presentable nature. It’s also not parked in a big shed. It’s either out driving the streets doing what you’ve paid for or parked in someone’s garage or driveway.

Obviously we’re not here to try and tarnish the Out-of-home industry, we’re here to try and clean it up. We want clean, tidy and great looking media out working hard for the advertisers, and hope others do to.

So when you’re placing your next Out-of-Home campaign, think about how much exposure you’re getting if the campaign can’t be seen. Here’s just a few of the examples that have been seen around the streets.

Those water marks, scraps and smudges are not in the creative!

Note the word written into the dirt!

Feb-July 2011

The white-ish squiggles on the left person are actually finger marks!
